Stage Whisper is a dialogue between tradition and transformation. Inspired by the history of theatrical curtains, it is a modular stage design that bends, folds, and unfolds into endless possibilities. Magnetic modules let the curtain transform—from a playful children’s tent to a Venetian drape or an Austrian curtain.
Originally created as a set design for a theater production, I later invited architect Sophie Lanen to collaborate at B-Collective, creating a space where architecture and stage meet in conversation.
This work is about more than adaptation—it is about presence and surprise. The stage becomes a living space, responding to the imagination of its creators and the curiosity of its audience. Here, the curtain is not just a boundary but a performer, shaping space and mood with subtle gestures.
Stage Whisper invites us to rethink the familiar and explore the magic in everyday forms.
