Marthe Van Endert &
Luka Endor Verbist

Marthe Van Endert, a conceptual designer, based in Brussels. Her practice explores the relationship between material, tactility and space. Inspired by landscapes, Japanese gardens and traditional structures, Marthe creates objects in which form, surface and connection take centre stage. Her work with soapstone and stainless steel is based on an honest approach to material and construction.

Luka and Marthe’s design practices share an interest in materials, construction and space. Whilst Luka works with hand-formed sheet steel and the powerful interplay between mass and cut, Marthe takes her cue from mechanical systems and the precision of joints. By bringing these techniques and visions into dialogue, a conversation emerges between precision and intuition, strength and refinement.

Luka Endor Verbist, a Brussels-based spatial designer, whose work combines the precision of calculated geometry with the rawness of (neo)brutalism. His objects and installations, inspired by sound system culture, have a strong physical presence. Their form enters into a dialogue with their function and surroundings. Luka is currently experimenting with pre-defined cut-outs in sheet steel, which allows the metal to be bent by hand. These bent sheets merge into a carefully considered composition, in which every piece of metal and every joint exudes an equal visual power.

Marthe Van Endert | BENCH_01

"Bench 01 is not just made to be viewed. It is designed to be used, to hold warmth and memory. Something that evolves through time and use.
In a world where digital images increasingly dominate our experience, tangible objects are gradually losing their meaning. Furniture is often reduced to static icons, designed for visual impact rather than experience. This design is conscious of this environment, but takes the opposite approach: a piece of furniture that does not remain static, but evolves through time, touch, and use.
At the heart of the design is soapstone, a soft material that records traces of interaction while also absorbing and slowly releasing heat. Its tactile qualities invite touch, rest, and a more direct connection between user and object.
The soapstone interacts with a lightweight metal tube frame that remains visible and honest at all times. Rather than hiding the structure, the frame becomes an integral part of the design, supporting and framing the stones."

Marthe Van Endert | COLLAGE LAMP 01

"Collage Lamp brings stone and light together in an open, visible structure. A metal grid forms the framework onto which thin pieces of soapstone are assembled as a collage. Normally perceived as heavy and solid, the stone takes on an unexpected lightness through its thin form. When illuminated, the translucency of the stone veneer is revealed. The structure remains visible and honest throughout: the grid supports the stones without hiding itself."

Luka Endor Verbist | HF01-BMOD

"This design came to life as a counterweight to the way music is represented in today’s world; how it is experienced and how it is too often neglected. Music and soundscapes often reflect their cultural context and today’s fast-paced world struggles with overstimulation, multitasking on an elevated level…
The goal was to create an inviting music station that celebrates music in different forms and allows you to focus on one thing only: playing with sound and the act of listening to it.
The structure is made from folded sheet metal and works as a modular piece of furniture that can adapt to different musical contexts; from a DJ booth to a vinyl listening-party setup or even transforming into a display cabinet or a sculptural tower of sound."

Bucky Ceramic Studio

Bucky Ceramic Studio is founded by me, Peggy Geens.
In my ceramic endeavors, I draw from my architectural background, blending design expertise with the tactile and artistic aspects of working with clay.
I want to write a testament to the power of curiosity, adaptation, and the limitless possibilities that emerge when one follows their passion.

Bucky | MONOLITHIC STRUCTURE

"A series of practical forms, stacked into a monolithic structure evoking a totem pole.
Inspired by pale, spectral women from ancient myth - banshees, carriers of sorrow and strength.
These are monuments to the ones who silently hold the world together.
Their glazed textures lend a unity of restrained elegance, imbuing each functional element with ethereal presence - as if touched by the memory of myths, reborn in ceramic form.
A singular architectural statement. Both haunting and harmonious.
